My New Year's resolution is to make my 300-square-foot apartment less cluttered. This is quite the undertaking, as it is probably the tiniest 1-bedroom apartment you've ever seen, and two people live in it. Also, it's a fourth-floor walkup in a pre-war building with the narrowest hallway and staircase in the world, which makes it very difficult to lug furniture up to it. So, as you can see, my options are rather limited. However, I recently discovered Organize.com, which is frankly amazing. They have so many organizey things that you never even dreamed could exist! Here's my shopping list:
- Stratford wall rack with four double hooks - For hanging coats, scarves and bags when we come in the door. Right now, they are taking over Bob's "man chair" in the living room.
- Casabella cleaning storage system - A place to hang Swiffers, plus store other cleaning materials and plastic grocery bags, which are currently shoved on top of the fridge next to the microwave.
- 3-shelf deluxe mobile cart - To increase counter space from two square feet to four! Plus extra food storage and a bar to hang dishtowels.
- Jokari hanging handbag organizer - For hanging my bags, which are usually hung on doorknobs until Bob has a temper tantrum and throws them on the floor.
- Merrick stackable shoe rack - I have to move a chair every time I want to get in my closet, which is in the living room. It's really dark in there and I can never find my shoes, so then I get angry and accuse Bob of stealing them.
- Progressive microwave food cover - I'm sad these are backordered, because they are genius! I kind of ruined our microwave because I would put a paper towel on top of food, but it would fall off and the food would splatter everywhere.
