Who Says New Yorkers Aren't Nice?

When I was waiting for the bus this morning, a woman asked if someone had change for a dollar (New York City buses only accept coins or MetroCards). Since I always seem to have as much change as a panhandler, I started to dig in my very full, large purse for some quarters. In the process of finding change for her, I dropped my MetroCard somewhere in my bag and then couldn't find it. I set my bag on the ground and started shuffling frantically through it as people filed past me to get on the bus. One man reached down to hand me his MetroCard, saying, "Here, try this one." I used a swipe from his card, and then tried to give him $2 to pay him back, but he wouldn't even take it. What goes around really does come around, I guess, but this was the quickest it ever came back around for me!
