Now that it's almost the end of the year, everyone's doing their "Best Movies of 2007" lists. I didn't actually see that many movies in the theater this year, because I hate spending $12 on something I can't turn off if I hate it. There are still a lot more I have to add to my Netflix queue.
The Good
- Knocked Up - I actually saw this twice in the theater because I liked it so much. There have been a lot of complaints that it's sexist or whatever, but I just think it's accurate. All women act like "shrews" at some time or another, so why not laugh at yourself instead of getting offended?
- Juno - A funny, smart, well-done film with some of my favorite actors in it.
- Superbad - More like super-ehh. Like any film ever made, it would have been better if Michael Cera had more screentime.
- Elizabeth 2: The Golden Age - It seemed promising, but it was much less exciting than the original.
- License to Wed - John Krasinski, I am deeply disappointed in you. You also owe me $12.
- I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry - Same to you, Kevin James.
